My research primarily focuses on understanding how relational experiences with significant others influence developmental outcomes across childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. In connection with this, I am also involved in research investigating the determinants of parenting and the dynamics of parent-child relationships. This work spans both typical and high-risk developmental contexts. Additionally, I am interested in examining the correlates of authenticity, with an emphasis on its implications for well-being and the quality of interpersonal relationships.

  • Self and identity: development processes and implications for psychosocial adjustment throughout the life cycle
  • Authenticity: Predictors and implications for adjustment
  • Parenting practices and children’s and adolescents’ developmental outcomes
  • Adverse family experiences and psychosocial adjustment throughout the life cycle
  • Processes of change in psychotherapy with children and adolescents
