The Research Center for Psychological Science (CICPSI) is the research center from Faculdade de Psicologia, Universidade de Lisboa. It conducts fundamental and applied research in psychological and neural adaptation mechanisms across lifelong development and learning. CICPSI aims to respond to societal challenges by contributing insights, knowledge, and tools for individuals, organizations, and communities to adapt and thrive in diverse contexts.Cutting-edge research is accompanied by top-tier advanced training with scientific societal impacts. CICPSI is an active partner of 2030 Portugal and Lisbon Regional Smart Specialization Strategy, RIS3.
CICPSI’s strategy has four pillars:

CICPSI is organized in two research groups:
- COgnition in COntext group (CO2) investigates cognitive and neural mechanisms of voice and speech perception, literacy and its interplay with other cognitive systems, memory and learning, and social cognition and judgment.
- ADAPTation PROcesses in Context group (ProAdapt) conducts applied research in Organizational, Educational, Clinical, Health, and Family Psychology, making critical contributions individual, family, and organizational adaptation and well-being in several contexts.
