Rute Pires

My research career began with a master’s research project on the assessment of anxiety elaboration strategies in children with and without identified psychological problems. Later, in the PhD, I focused on the relationships between personality and suggestibility in forensic context. Currently, I am involved in two research projects, one on personality and psychopathology and the other on the development of specific psychological assessment tools for the forensic context.

Dimensional models for the assessment of normal and pathological personality in the context of the general population and the population with mental illness, in adulthood.
Translation and adaptation into Portuguese language of psychological tests to assess personality and psychopathology and to detect simulation or low effort in forensic neuropsychological assessment.
