Peer violence: from bullying to cyberbullying


Paula Ferreira is a researcher in Educational Psychology atthe Research Center for Psychological Science (CICPSI) at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon. She has a PhD in Educational Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Science Education. Paula Ferreira is currently responsible for the Cyberbullying Line of Investigation of the Research Group entitled Educational and Vocational Psychology at the Research Center for Psychological Science (CICPSI) of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon. She is also a researcher at the Institute of Systems and Computer Engineering, Research and Development (INESC-ID) at the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, Lisbon.


Her main research interests focus on cyberbullying, the bystander effect, self-regulation of learning and behavior as well as technology to promote learning and pro-social behavior.


Cyberbullying: The regulation of behavior through language (PTDC/MHC­PED/3297/2014)

Project on Problem-solving in math through self-regulated learning for primary education in the Lisbon area.


Reviewer for journals such as, Educational Psychology, Computers in Human Behavior, Learning and Instruction and the European Journal of Psychology of Education.

Member of the European Association of Psychological Assessment.
